Some Poems Are Thin and Withered: Southern Small Branches

Nan Ke Zi

Gao xiang shi yu shou
Chou chang jiu hou rou.
Wan liang tuan shan yu zhi qiu.
Wo kan ming he yin ying jie tian liu.

He jing ren chu jing
Chong yin ye geng you.
Jia chen zhi he suan hua chou.
Chu liao yi tian feng yue geng he qiu.

Some Poems Are Thin and Withered: Southern Small Branches

Some poems are thin and withered like their authors
After wine, people with anxious insides become tender and delicate.
Evenings cool enough to not need a round fan, knowing autumn arrives soon.

Lie down to watch the bright silver river reflections
Milky Way flows across the horizon.
Humans calm and settled in, cranes alert and vigilant
Night time insects groan in seclusion.

Beautiful time of day to drink and gamble.
One sky with a windy moon makes one feel alone
But what else can we ask for.
