Express One’s Feelings and Aspirations: Five Poems: No. 4

King Liu Bei of Shu spied on the Wu, good fortune being in Three Gorges
He died in his Yong An palace.
His emerald green regalia imitates the empty mountains
This jade palace now vacant and a countryside temple.

Ancient temple has fir and pine trees, nests of water cranes
Old village visit in slack times of June and December.
Close by is Zhuge Liang’s long hall, ancestral temple of nobility and
military arts
Together sacrifices are given to both king and official.
