Children Leading an Ox in Anle Fang

Young children leading an ox across the small stream water
Older children follow behind mounted and attending to their tasks.
One child plays a flute with hairpinned flowers under a conical straw hat.
Trailing the adult oxen is a row of the young oxen.

Springtime small streams clear without any sediments
Islets with thin spring grasses without any weeds.
Five oxen return from a distant sunset
All of the children’s houses between small streams
Suddenly raindrops fall upon their heads
They rush back home wearing bamboo hats and straw rain ponchos.
