沁 园 春： 赴 密 州 早 行，马 上 寄 子 由
孤 馆 灯 青
野 店 鸡 号
旅 枕 梦 残。
渐 月 华 收 练
晨 霜 耿 耿
云 山 摛 锦
朝 露 漙 漙。
世 路 无 穷
劳 生 有 限
似 此 区 区 长 鲜 欢。
微 吟 罢 凭 征 鞍 五 语
往 事 千 端。
当 时 共 客 长 安
似 二 陆 初 来 俱 少 年。
有 笔 头 千 字
胸 中 万 卷
致 君 尧 舜
此 事 何 难。
用 舍 由 时
行 藏 在 我
袖 手 何 妨 闲 处 看。
身 长 健 但 优 游 卒 岁
且 斗 尊 前。

Springtime Garden Exudes Fragrances: Early Morning Go to Mizhou
Solitary building, one small lamp
Country inn, chickens clucking
Sleep here fitful, dreams incomplete.
Radiant moonlight all night, now setting
Clouds and mountains like embroidered brocade
The morning dew is heavy.
Life’s road without limits
Work and life have boundaries
Very few times enjoy this morning’s joy and freshness.
Short time to chant this poem
Must rely on long, wordless journeys in the saddle
Past events have one thousand aspects.
At that time we shared our studies in Chang’an
Like brothers Li and Lu having a few years together.
Writing books of one thousand characters
Millions of things enfolded in our hearts
We too could devote ourselves to a model emperor.
These things don’t seem that difficult
Yet getting the right job is a matter of timing
But we decide whether to accept or reject job offers.
Going far away, can be a source of leisure
Only concern for health and a long life
After a few years, the palace in-fighting will expose our honor.
