Evening of the Third Month Twenty-Fourth Day in Jianglin, Viewing Paulownia Flowers Under a Happy Sky

Evening of the Third Month Twenty-Fourth Day in Jianglin, Viewing Paulownia Flowers Under a Happy Sky
Dawn crescent moon upon paulownia flowers
Waning moon on flowers vast and distant.
Resentments many, tranquil emotions cannot be felt
Hanging down, touching curtains and a canopy.
New leaves and thin shady shadows
Again a delicate dew on the branches and twigs.
For long spring evenings I harbor many regrets
Clear breezes almost conceal the frail fragrance.
At sunset, I think of you so far away
Missing you thoughts thinning me like a pare knife.
Still sense things that fractures my steady mind
Can not say out loud how I detest my government position.
Morning audience in the palace hall with golden tinkling bells
Only edited books and scrolls, walked in sandals to the bluish-green dragon pavilion shrine.
Now I am in the middle of far away mountains
Filled with dirt and the fallen paulownia flowers.
